Create External Tool

1. Go to Tools from the Settings section within the Admin Panel.#

3. Here you can see all the available External tools.#

4. If you want to connect any external tool to an assistant, you must first connect it; only then will it appear in the Tools tab.#

5. To create a new external tool, Click on "Add Custom Connector"#

6. A modal will open where you will need to enter your Tool’s details.#

7. Enter the name and details of your tool.#

8. Set the MCP Server URL and Transport for your tool.#

9. Enter the System Prompt for your tool.#

10. Click on Select Category to choose the category for your tool.#

11. Select a category that matches your tool#

For example, for the BookManager tool, we have selected Productivity

12. Enter the Website for your tool.#

13. Set the icon for your tool, which will be displayed alongside it in the Connectors tab.#

14. If your tool requires any headers, such as Authorization Bearer Token, you can set them here.#

18. Your tool will also appear in the Tools tab, where you can enable it and connect it with your assistant.#

19. If you want to disconnect your tool, go back to the Connectors section#

20. Click on "Connected" in front of your tool to open its settings.#

21. Click Disconnect to remove the connection for your tool.#
