Every corpus has a unique Corpus ID. Most of the time you'll work with corpora by name, but the ID is the reliable way to point at exactly one corpus, especially outside the app.
Corpus names aren't guaranteed to be unique, and they can be renamed at any time. The Corpus ID identifies exactly one corpus, so it's the safest way to refer to it with support or in integrations.
Troubleshooting: If indexing fails or an assistant isn't using the content you expect, send the Corpus ID to your administrator or support, so they find the exact corpus right away.Similar corpus names: When corpora have similar names, such as "HR Policies" and "HR Policies (Archive)", use the ID to say exactly which one you mean.Integrations: A developer building a job that uploads files to a corpus uses its Corpus ID, so the job keeps working if someone renames the corpus.Open the Corpus section.
