Managing Chatlogs

The Chatlogs page lets administrators review the conversations people have with assistants across the organization. Filters help you narrow thousands of conversations down to exactly the ones you need, and you can open any conversation to see the full query, response, and feedback.

Why use Chatlogs?#

Quality checks. Read real answers to make sure assistants are accurate and helpful.
Faster troubleshooting. When someone reports a problem, find their exact conversation and see what went wrong.
Learn from feedback. Focus on responses people rated as bad, or on queries that failed, to see where an assistant needs work.
Reporting and audits. Export conversations for offline analysis or record keeping.

Use cases#

Troubleshooting complaints: Employees say the HR benefits assistant gives wrong answers. Select it under Assistants, set Date Range to Last 7 days, and filter Response on Bad response. You see only the conversations that went wrong, and which questions the assistant keeps missing.
One specific answer: When a user reports a single wrong answer, ask for its Agent Response Id. It matches the chatlog's Id, so you can find the exact conversation. See View Chatlog & Chat thread Id.
Failed queries: Filter Query Status on Failed to find queries that failed, then open them to see what went wrong.
Audits: Set the date range and filters you need, then export the matching chatlogs to Excel for your records.
The Chatlogs section can only be accessed by Global Admins.
